MATCH TIMING & SCHEDULING
-
Please check the draw sheet carefully for the location and time of your first match.
-
Check in with the hut commander when you arrive at your site. This helps us give you a court assignment and keeps matches moving.
-
Upon completion of your match, please report scores promptly to your hut commander. Once your score is reported on Live Scoring, you will receive a text confirming your next match time and location.
-
Although we are committed to providing a predictable player schedule throughout the tournament, please be aware that severe weather may cause us to make necessary changes to match times and days. If this happens, we will communicate these changes in times and locations as quickly as possible.
-
All matches are to be played as scheduled and where scheduled unless the Tournament Director has pre-approved a change.
-
It is your responsibility to know all the APTA rules regarding play. If in doubt, please confirm with the APTA Tour Director or Tournament Director. No other ruling will be accepted.
-
If you are scheduled at the main site, you will be advised if you are on a Live Streaming court. We will provide you with a match start time. Teams that are not on the court, ready to play at the designated time, will receive penalties in accordance with the APTA rules. If you are assigned to one of these courts, you will need to be flexible about timing and the possibility of being moved from or onto a live streaming court during your match.
APTA TOUR SERIES RULE on TARDINESS
If a hut commander cannot locate a player or team at the scheduled match time, the hut commander will notify the APTA Tour Director or Tournament Director that the player or team is not present. The hut commander will keep time until the late player or team arrive and any penalty will be assessed and the match will be played from that point forward. Penalties will be applied (in accordance with the schedule outlined below) and enforced by the APTA Tour Director and Tournament Director.
-
Any time a team will be late for its next scheduled match because its previous match ended after its next match was scheduled, teams must coordinate with the hut commander, APTA Tour Director, or Tournament Director on the revised start time for its next match. The new start time may include a short break, drive time, or lunch break, if applicable. In general, all teams are expected to check in with the hut commander after their match is completed to confirm the starting time of their next match.
